 Meet Joel and Eddie
We have been together in a mutually committed and caring relationship for eight years. We are grateful to have found each other and believe we make a great team. Since the beginning of our relationship we have talked about our hope to become parents and to raise a child. We are extremely excited about the opportunity to become parents through adoption.
Joel Talks about Eddie
Eddie is my soulmate and there is not a day that goes by that I do not realize how lucky I am to have him in my life. I have no doubt that Eddie will be a wonderful father and a great role model for our child. He is always trying to do things to make those around him feel happy and comfortable. He is a natural teacher, who encourages others and has the ability to make people feel good about themselves, which is extremely important in raising a child. I am constantly amazed at how thoughtful he is about everything and everyone, even down to the smallest detail.
Eddie is an incredibly creative person. Our home is filled with his singing, the sounds of his musical instruments and his many art projects. It is wonderful to see Eddie working on art projects with my godson and his sisters when we are with them. Because of Eddie, our child will certainly have a really creative place in which to grow up. Eddie is an extremely understanding and sensitive person. As our child gets older, he or she will always have someone they can talk to about whatever is going on in their life.
 Eddie Talks about Joel
Joel is a very special person and I can’t imagine building a family without him. He is smart, funny, outgoing, and enjoyable to spend time with. Joel is a very stable and down-to-earth person who has learned a lot from his life experiences and has made himself a better person through them. He is responsible and trustworthy, and will provide our child with a sense of security and stability while instilling important values and morals.
Joel loves spending time with children. He enjoys visiting with his godson and his godson’s two older sisters. Through his training as a therapist, Joel has spent time learning about children’s important issues. I know that Joel has the patience and desire to be a wonderful parent. He will provide a nurturing home where he will maintain an environment that encourages learning and exploration.
One of Joel’s favorite past times is playing Scrabble. He is looking forward to reading books and playing games with our child as he or she grows up. Joel also enjoys politics. He reads the New York Times every day and watches political television programs. He is the perfect person to teach our child about the world, from his knowledge of foreign countries to his interest in American government.
Hi! I am Matthew
I am a sweet and gentle eight-year old dog Hound-mix. I love to go to the park and to beaches. I love kids and I especially like lots of affection!
Our Home
We own a bright and cheery home in a diverse neighborhood in the city of San Francisco. Our community is a wonderful place to raise children and our child will have access to beaches, parks, zoos, museums and many other places that are exciting for kids. Our home is spacious and we have a nice backyard. We take a lot of pride in our home. Joel, especially, is always looking for ways to improve it. We enjoy having guests and want our home to be a comfortable place for everyone.
We enjoy quiet times at home, relaxing with a good book, playing a game or just talking. We like to cook together and often make dinners for our friends and family. We like to try new foods and sometimes our recipes get very complicated! Just recently we made a mouthwatering pasta dish with Italian ham and fresh lemons from our garden, and Eddie made his favorite turkey soup with lots of delicious veggies in it!
Our Family and Friends
Our family and friends are very important to us and we spend as much time with them as we can.
Eddie’s family lives in Ohio and we see them as often as we can. Both of his parents are schoolteachers and they are thrilled about our adoption. Eddie’s sister is expecting a baby soon. We are excited that our child will have a cousin to play with when we visit.
Joel’s brother and his wife live only fifteen minutes away. We see them a lot and enjoy spending time together. Joel’s godson lives in Sacramento, and we love to spend time with him and his older sisters.
We are very fortunate to have a wonderful group of friends with whom we spend a lot of time. They are all very excited about the prospect of us having a child.
